Administrative Support - Security Connections (Experienced)

We are seeking experienced Administrative Support\. A proactive and team\-oriented administrative support associate is needed to serve as a Security Connection Representative for Security Connections help line\. The selected candidate will play a vital role as a liaison between various customers and security program staff in answering security\-related questions\. Responsibilities include: 1\) Broad knowledge of safeguards and security program requirements and resources; 2\) Maintains current knowledge of security procedures, equipment standards, and technology, encompassing multiple security disciplines; 3\) Employs in\-depth interview techniques to ascertain the customers true needs and situations; 4\) Accurately disseminates security\-related information to members of the workforce through effective verbal or written communications\.



Required:



+ High school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience\.

+ Able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-Level security clearance



Desired:



+ Experience providing very high levels of customer service and strong customer focus;

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast past paced, dynamic environment, with team members and independently with minimal supervision\.

+ Excellent computer skills

+ Knowledge and experience in one or more major security area including information security, physical security, personnel security, or cyber security\.

+ Familiarity with DOE directives, especially S&S\-related requirements;

+ Familiarity with Corporate Systems \(ITSM, TEDs, PO Queries\)

+ Experience with providing call center and help desk support\.

+ Broad understanding of Sandia programs, policies, organizations, procedures, and administrative systems;

+ Demonstrated ability with Excel, Word, SharePoint, Avaya CMS, and other MS Office products\.

+ Demonstrated ability to solve problems, and achieve results with minimal direction and supervision;

+ Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple concurrent activities to meet a variety of customer requirements with changing priorities and short deadlines;



Department Description:



Sandia's Security Connection is a quality, single entry point resource center that provides Members of the Workforce with timely, accurate, and consistent responses to security\-related questions and concerns\. Security Connection is manned by Security Connection Representatives \(SCR\) who process incoming questions via multiple sources, including phone and e\-mail\. In addition, SCRs also provide call volume relief to various Security programs and assume responsibility for answering program questions for line customers\.

Security Clearance:



Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.



Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre\-employment drug testing, and a pre\-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications\. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q\-level security clearance, which requires U\.S\. citizenship\.
