Job Description

The Signals and Systems Division within ACL fuses information from operational arenas, subject matter experts, and intelligence assessments to meet the needs of the warfighter.  The role of this position is to further working relationships with the intelligence community by a) analyzing the strengths of GTRI to determine how GTRI can meet the needs of the intelligence community and b) determining how intelligence community data and products can be used to solve warfighter needs.  The position may involve use of or development of state-of-the-art modeling and simulation tools to perform critical analysis of system performance.  A solid analytic ability is a major asset in this position.

 

Requirements

 A BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, Computer Engineering or related discipline is required.  An MS, PhD or equivalent experience is desired.  Five to ten years of relevant experience with an emphasis on intelligence analysis, dissemination, and use is required.

  • A working knowledge of aerospace systems and the National Security environment is desired. In addition, experience in all source intelligence analysis is highly desired. Familiarity with modeling and simulation of complex systems and analytic tools is critical.  Communication skills, both written and oral, are critical. This person will be responsible for briefing program activities directly to sponsors at senior levels within the government.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance are required. 

Advanced Concepts Laboratory (ACL)

ACL focuses on the transition of basic academic research in electromagnetic effects and devices into prototype systems that demonstrate new capabilities. The capabilities of interest are typically sensing, scattering control, electromagnetic field control and measurement, and signal filtering, all of which support GTRI’s core system-level capabilities. In support of this work the laboratory develops and maintains world-class modeling and measurement capabilities for electromagnetic phenomena, from quasi-static to UV wavelengths. ACL is a leader in precise radio frequency (RF) and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) measurements in addition to technology development.
