The Electronic Systems Center (ESC) supports a wide variety of UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) products with state-of-the-art facilities and expertise. The ESC team, designs, tests, builds, qualifies and supports aerospace electronic systems and components for all segments of UTAS.

The Configuration Management Analyst III Lead will be the focal for assisting Configuration Management Supervisor with the management of Configuration of authority data at the ESC, including application of Continuous Improvement to the ESC CM/PDM processes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • As part of the Configuration Management Team, provide support to various programs to ensure CM requirements are implemented, including planning, identification, control, status accounting, and auditing.
  • Interface with various functional teams to ensure configuration control of approved documents, drawings, engineering changes.
  • Prepare Basis of Estimates for Proposal activities
  • Create Configuration Management Program Plans
  • Interface with both internal and external customers to ensure configuration control of UTAS developed product
  • Create and improve workflows within a PLM System
  • Control product releases and monitor changes required for auditing and reporting throughout the product lifecycle
  • Responsible for Data transfer and configuration items from one configuration system to another between business units.
  • Responsible for ad hoc reporting and metrics. Creates spreadsheets, presentations, reports, and documents using a variety of software.
  • Assists with developing and documenting new documentation control and configuration management business processes to support system and product life cycles.
  • Supports the ESC in completion of Policy Deployment and Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Shall work under limited supervision
  • Domestic and international travel of up to 10% of time.


Qualification:
  • Shall have at least seven (7) years’ experience working with development teams and project managers to develop and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting complex electronic hardware and project engineering development and support models
  • Familiar with International Trade Compliance (ITAR/EAR) requirements
  • Experience in writing plans, reports and strong working knowledge of CM standards (AS9100, ISO10007, MIL-HDBK-61A, EIA-649, etc.)
  • Experience with creating and implementing Program CM Plans
  • Experience with preparing Basis of Estimates for proposals
  • Experienced with engineering release and change control processes, including Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
  • Experienced with coordinating Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Request for Deviations
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Experience in managing changes to Hardware, Software and / or documentation
  • Experience with Functional and Physical Configuration Audits
  • Ability to multi-task and easily adapt to change in priorities
  • Service and detailed oriented

Preferred:
  • NDIA or CMII/CM2 certified
  • Experience with implementing Subcontractor Configuration Management oversight
  • Continuous Improvement experience
  • Knowledge of Military, FAA and ISO regulations/standards, technical development process.

Education:

    Qualifications Required:

    A BA/BS degree is required in a technical field, e.g. Computer Science, MathematicsInformation Management, Engineering

    Experience in successfully dealing cross-functionally with other functional areas and customers relative to CM/PDM to ensure that all business needs and requirements are met.Experience in Teamcenter, PVCS and DOORSWorking knowledge of DO-254 and DO-178

    Shall have at least seven (7) years using and administering CM tools to store, track, and manage configuration Shall have at least seven (7) years in detailed management, including conducting requirements analysis, deliverable tracking, schedule, data deliverable monitoring and CSA reporting
    • Shall have at least seven (7) years’ experience with two or more commercial software products (e.g., Teamcenter, DOORS, PLM systems) used for configuration management.



    Preferred:

    • NDIA or CMII/CM2 certified
    • Experience with implementing Subcontractor Configuration Management oversight
    • Continuous Improvement experience
    • Knowledge of Military, FAA and ISO regulations/standards, technical development process.
