The Engines Performance group is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented, and results driven engineer to support the analysis of commercial engine performance of our production and operational engines in test cell environments. The responsibilities of the assignment include analysis of production, overhaul, and on-wing engine performance data. Based on these data, ensure timely delivery of high quality engines through system-level cycle modeling, test cell and engine data analysis and statistical analysis. Provide leadership of cross functional teams in both investigative and performance improvement initiatives. Additionally, the individual will represent the performance discipline on various cross-functional teams interfacing with production delivery centers, systems and component groups, and airframe manufacturers.

Growth opportunities include additional multi-disciplinary leadership in engine performance, control definition, advanced modeling techniques, and test disciplines for commercial engine platforms. The experience and skills developed in an engine systems performance assignment are foundational to many of the leadership positions within the propulsion and aerospace business to develop strong analytical and problem solving skills needed to lead technical teams that develop world class engines.


Qualification: Competent in one or more of the following engineering disciplines: thermodynamics, gas dynamics, aerodynamics, statistics, and quality control methods for production. Strong communication, analytical, teaming skills, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment is required. Professional experience in engine performance is preferred.

Education: BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or the equivalent with 5-7 years of successful experience in a technical assignment within an Engineering organization

MS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or the equivalent w/3-5 years of successful experience in a technical assignment within an Engineering organization
