Job Description:

 

The Information and Communictions Laboratory (ICL) at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is actively seeking an engineer to support high performance computing research.  This research supports the application of novel and emerging high performance computing capabilities to diverse defense-relevant application domains, with a focus on cybersecurity.  This research includes software tools development, compiler and optimization infrastructure, parallelization approaches, domain-specific programming approaches, application development, low-level optimization, and performance analysis.  The engineer will support business development by contributing proposals and developing new sponsored research thrusts.

 

Requirements

 

Education: BS in computer science, computer engineering, math, physics, or engineering.  Advanced degrees preferred. Willingness to pursue advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Security or similar concentration.

 

Experience: Candidate must possess at least three years of professional experience or possess an advanced degree.  Experience required in one or more of the following: developing software that is optimized for parallel computers; designing languages and compilers designed for parallel systems; self-optimizing run-time systems, analysis and synthesis of optimal algorithms; linear algebra and numeric methods; Assembly, C, and C++; GPU computing (particularly CUDA); and real-time systems.

 

Skills: Candidates must have the ability to manage research projects, make technical presentations, contribute to proposals, and work independently.  Candidates must be capable of applying advanced computational techniques to new and evolving application domains.

 

Other: Candidate must be a US citizen capable of holding a Top Secret DoD Security clearance
