As thousands of Pratt & Whitney’s gas turbine engines are covered under guaranteed engine maintenance service offerings, our business model requires:

2. Integrating our expertise and technologies to develop and evolve end-to-end predictive capabilities, offer a planned operating environment, maximize time-on-wing/operational availability, and

3. Driving improved enterprise performance, capability and responsiveness through cradle-to-grave engine connectivity.

Pratt & Whitney continues to advance our business model by pursuing advanced data analytic capabilities to proactively monitor the health of engines on-wing and predict future maintenance requirements.

To continue leading these efforts, Pratt & Whitney’s Commercial Engines business is seeking a director/associate director, Application Services - Digital & Analytics to join our fast-paced, innovative and growing team. This role will report to the vice president, Engine Services – Commercial Engines and have primary responsibility for leading the development and execution of our digital strategy and analytical capabilities in support of the growing quantity of engines under our care by building best practices, tools and predictive models in an agile, application development setting.

As a key member of the Engine Services management team, the director/associate director, Application Services - Digital & Analytics will provide leadership to a diverse group of employees consisting of analysts, model managers, systems architects and project managers who provide functional support to the Commercial Engines organization and Aftermarket Services via:

  • New engine business sales campaign

  • Aftermarket contract estimate-at-completion analysis

  • Data systems governance

  • Advanced engine diagnostics platforms, and

  • Customer support

Note: The final grade level for this position will be dependent on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.


Qualification:

Required Qualifications

The selected candidate will be a proven strategic visionary capable of developing short and long-term plans to deliver advanced analytic capabilities in support of customer and business growth objectives

A work history inclusive of designing, building and extracting large and complex data sets while serving as a thought leader on strategic uses of data in support of business objectives

Demonstrated ability to move advanced analytic applications from proof of concept to large scale deployment

A strong analytic and reporting background to include business intelligence and data visualization

Self-motivated, independent, organized and proactive -- highly responsive, flexible and adaptable in working across multiple functions and organizational levels.

Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional alignment; adept in navigating complexity in a fast-paced work environment

Proven employee empowerment and talent development capability

Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Education:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) discipline with 12+ years of relevant work experience including demonstrated success in leading progressively complex projects and/or change management initiatives

Master's or other advanced degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering or mathematics) discipline with 10+ years of relevant work experience including demonstrated success in leading progressively complex projects and/or change management initiatives

The selected candidate will also possess 5-7+ years of direct experience leading large organizations/teams
