Description: NOTE:  This position is located at the Cobb County Research Facility in Smyrna, GA.

The Georgia Tech Research Institute's Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) is currently seeking a M.S. or Ph.D. student for a one-year research program in decision support. The research spans the fields of robotics, mission planning, machine learning, and adaptive signal processing. Most tasks will be MATLAB simulation development and mathematical formulation of supporting algorithms. Coursework in one of the following areas is desired: control theory, random processes, or artificial intelligence. Ideally, Student will work directly with research faculty and be exposed to applied research. Results from the program may contain publication restrictions.

The student should have a strong understanding of stochastic processes, signal processing or control theory, and MATLAB programing through previous or future coursework. A moderate level of independent and self-directed research thinking will be expected.

Due to contracting requirements with the US Department of Defense, candidates for this position must be U.S. citizens.
