Role Overview

  • Perform research on state-of-the-art machine learning approaches, develop algorithms, customize datasets and train and evaluate machine learning models.
  • Your internship project can be in the areas of sensor data classification, traffic prediction, behavior planning or a similar topic that matches with our project needs and your research interests.
  • Interact with a variety of team members within the Autonomous Driving department and discuss progress and results with your MBRDNA supervisor.


Minimum Skills Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Mathematics or adjacent fields
  • Proficiency in statistics and machine learning fundamentals
  • Knowledge of recent machine learning algorithms (e.g. deep neural networks, reinforcement learning) as well as optimization techniques
  • Ability to understand and implement state-of-the-art machine learning techniques
  • Proven skills to work with relevant machine learning frameworks (e.g. Tensorflow, PyTorch)
  • Excellent Python programming expertise
  • Experience with source code management
  • Comfortable with development on Linux systems
  • Excellent communication skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working independently in a large software setting, including code reviewing and issue tracking systems
  • Experience in robotics and/or automotive development
  • Proven experience working in C++
