MITREs International Operations Department is seeking an experienced
engineer and leader to provide technical and task leadership to our foreign
partner capability modeling, simulation and analysis activities supporting projects
for the US and our partner nations. MITRE is collaborating with the US Air
Force and foreign partner nations to improve security cooperation through
modernization of defense system capabilities and improvement of US and partner
nation interoperability. To support this
challenging work, we utilize modeling, simulation, and analysis tools to
support decision-making in the design, acquisition, deployment, integration and
exploitation of defensive systems. A task lead will help ensure the technical
quality and rigor of our analysis by shaping its content and bringing an
unbiased, objective perspective that reflects knowledge of the technical and
operational domain. The lead will be a
champion for further developing and maturing our technical capabilities within
the group by fostering a collaborative learning environment and partnering with
other domain and technical capability areas within MITRE. The lead will serve
as the first line of technical leadership over a set of tasks working
directly with supporting staff to ensure tasks are completed on time. The lead will work with the project
leadership and department leadership to ensure technical quality and rigor of
all products. A successful candidate should demonstrate that they are a
self-starter, have a passion for technical excellence and learning, a positive
can do attitude, and an ability to connect dots between activities. The
candidate will be in an internally and externally visible role that will
require gaining a strong understanding of MITREs unique mission, its
international work, and bringing to bear the full range of MITREs expertise
and capabilities to our US and foreign customers.
The successful candidate should have familiarity and experience with the following;
- integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) technologies, ballistic missile defense, system security and resiliency, command and control (C2), and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
- modeling and simulation of aerospace and sensor systems and experience with managing multiple simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with modeling and simulation of air and missile defense systems.
- Proven
task/project and staff leadership skills. Modeling and Simulation experience in
MATLAB and excellent technical communications skills are a must.
- Experience
and familiarity with Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR)
systems, command and control (C2), integrated air and missile defense (IAMD),
and related military technologies.
BS and 8 years related experience.
