We seek a dedicated individual who will perform general housekeeping, inspections and accomplishment of preventive and corrective maintenance and documentation.  This person will work on a rotating on-call schedule to support plant operations during equipment breakdowns. Duties include performing inspections, repairs, replacements and/or aligning/adjusting; sprockets and sheaves, pump packing, mechanical sealing and automatic control valve packing.  Job includes troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.  Performing pipe cutting, threading and layout on low pressure systems. Performing corrective maintenance and/or repairs on belt, drag, apron and screw conveyors as well as rebuilding low pressure centrifugal and positive displacement piston and gear pumps.  Inspecting stoker bearings, chain and sprockets and making repairs to stoker drive and chain.  The mechanic will oversee work, projects and processes of subordinate mechanics when required.  Taking measurement readings using micrometers and calipers to determine repair particulars is also necessary.  Reading, interpreting and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material is essential

To be considered for this position the individual must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to two years related experience and/or training in similar situation.  Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards for prior position in company's line of progression.
