Description: Job Description: This position is for a Network Engineer who will work with other team members to design, implement, manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support complex C41 environments based on hyper-converged architectures.  This position will have the responsibility for the networking of numerous environments supporting new assured command and control solutions. The candidate will need to be adept at customer service, working with application owners and reviewing Citrix technologies to meet emerging requirements.  The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of being a problem solver and team player who is capable of working in a technically challenging environment.GTRI and the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) are complementary institutions that work together to solve customers’ technical problems. Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university  (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Math Curriculum preferred)
  • Desired:  MS Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Math Curriculum

Certifications:

  • Security+ or CISSP Certification
  • Required: CCNA
  • Desired: CCNP

Clearance:

  • Required:  US citizen with Secret clearance
  • Desired:  US citizen with Top Secret clearance

Experience:

  • Required:   5+ years of experience in Network Engineering
  • Desired:  3+ years working on USN and DOD systems

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience designing, installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex C4I network systems.
  • Demonstrated skills designing, implementing, & supporting computer network environments.
  • Skills in core Networking technologies
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco, Brocade and MacAfee appliances.
  • Ability to create, manage/support virtual network appliances
  • Knowledge of advanced administration and maintenance of C4I network infrastructures.
  • Evaluate, publish, test and document network strategies for C4I systems.
  • Present and discuss Network Engineering topics to other engineers and stake holders
  • Capability to accurately communicate  relevant project technical information to stake holders

Desired Skills:

  • Experience virtual switching and routing
  • Understanding of DOD information technology and security architectures
