Aerostructures in Chula Vista CA, designs, manufactures, and integrates nacelles, thrust reversers, pylons and flight control surfaces for commercial and military aircraft. Aerostructures includes the Engineered Polymer Products business, which designs, tests and manufactures composite components for ships, submarines and commercial airplanes.


This Project Engineer role is very dynamic. We are looking for a self-drive “go get it” type individual. He/she would interact with many different functions within Aerostructures, as well as some external customer interaction. Communication skills are key, both written and oral. The position is broad in nature and will give you a good overview of the Aerospace Industry from a Technical Customer Support perspective.

Summary:

  • Support Visual Management – updates, Data analysis
  • Update Excel data & files – data entry, tracking of information
  • Review & Validation of Standard Work
  • Special projects
  • Service Bulletin Drafting
  • CATIA analysis, measuring, look up, auditing etc., load sorts


Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - including formatting data input, data manipulation, formulas, charting
  • Ability to work independently
  • Clear communicator
  • Self-motivated
  • Analytical
  • Advanced writing skills (e.g. ability document findings and draft a professional document)


Qualification:

Minimum 3.0 GPA
Citizen or resident of the United States


**Spring 2018 graduates are ineligible for internships


Education: Minimum 30 credit hours completed.
Must be working towards a 4-year Engineering degree.
