Description: Description Job Purpose: The position will manage all aspects of the New York Energy Efficiency Energy Transition Implementation Plan (ETIP) development including transition plans into the Distributed System Implementation Plan (DSIP), coordination, and taking into consideration the appropriate policy and regulatory documents, timelines, processes, and other energy efficiency implementation projects as determined by management. Key Accountabilities: Manage all aspects of the Energy Efficiency Plan development (and other applicable projects) initiating and planning the project, executing, monitoring, and controlling the work within project scope and closing the project. Activities include: Communications plan; effective team leadership and stakeholder management Develop and gain approval of project scope, objectives, cost estimate, schedule and resource plan Control of project scope, cost, quality and schedule parameters including risk mitigation/management Compliance with National Grid standards and policies Compliance with regulatory guidance documents, Orders and filing dates Deliverables to produce desired outcomes Management of any contracted services related to the development of the Energy Efficiency plans Provide project status reports to team members and stakeholders. Coordination of executive approvals Develop project plan to guide and control the development of the ETIP. The plan will be complete with activities and timelines, definition of project team and assignments, identification of dependencies including coordination through ETIP approval cycle. Ensure ETIP plan is filed according to regulatory guidelines and established due dates. The position will collaborate and coordinate with internal groups to ensure the plan is comprehensive and filed by the appropriate deadline. The position will also be responsible for a monthly review of the energy efficiency portfolio to assess whether programs are executed according to the plan and determine if any changes should be incorporated into the appropriate Record of Revision and filed with the regulator. Participate in regulatory efforts related to the ETIP filing, including but not limited to technical sessions, hearings and preparation of responses to information requests. Support the technical writing of the ETIP plans. Promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and efficient resource utilization both throughout the department, the project team(s) and project support groups including Program Execution, Sales & Operations, Marketing, Program Strategy, Policy & Evaluation.
Qualifications Knowledge &Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or related field, and 3+ years related work experience. Knowledge of the electric and gas industry; energy efficiency program planning, design, implementation, execution, evaluation as well as state and national energy policy. Regulatory experience including managing regulatory processes or contributing to regulatory filings. Experience with successful delivery of complex projects and possess team leadership skills. Preferable a Certification in Project Management (PMP), or Lean Six Sigma, Green Belt, Black Belt or Project Excellence (PEX). Demonstrate a high level of personal initiative and ability to interact with company personnel, contractors, and regulatory representatives in a positive collaborative manner. Demonstrated leadership skills with discipline and responsibility strengths able to drive action with strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints. Bottom-line oriented, budget-conscious, metric/measurement driven. Ability to create a high energy team climate whereby team members are able to discuss relevant issues freely and where there is a strong emphasis on continuous improvement. Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. both external and internal). Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Knowledge of relevant industry practice and legislation. Demonstrated skills as a strong communicator with technical writing skills. Previous people management experience able to motivate, establish clear expectations, performance management, and values diverse set of skills and perspectives among talented team able to build connections.
