There are multiple positions open in two organizations within Mission Assurance:

+ **9111 \- Quality Assurance Partnerships and Monitoring \(CQP\), Ann Marie Ryder**

+ **9113 \- Quality Management System Partners \(EQP\), Robin Reynolds**

**Corporate Quality Partners \(CQPs\)** design and communicate corporate quality policies, processes, procedures, and tools at the institutional level to ensure that quality improvement efforts meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations\. In addition CQPs conduct and or design systems\-level evaluations which offer continuous learning opportunities for assessors and people being assessed\. The team supports implementation of Sandias quality management assurance and performance assurance system efforts, programs, systems, processes, and procedures, including philosophy and strategies\. Through a well\-ingrained customer orientation culture, CQPs facilitate staff in providing targeted outreach, coaching, and mentoring throughout Sandia to mature all facets of quality assurance implementation\.

**Embedded Quality Partners \(EQPs\)** partner directly with assigned customers to help them identify key processes/deliverables and to design, optimize, and execute processes that result in consistent and predictable quality outcomes aligned with the corporate Quality Management System\. While focused on quality, this position also requires the ability to build, maintain, and strengthen enduring relationships built on trust and transparency\. Our team is continually seeking innovative ways to enable the success of the Laboratories to accomplish our collective mission\. EQPs may assist with data calls and information requests from corporate leadership as needed\. Co\-located with their respective areas, EQPs also work effectively together as a high functioning team\. The teams success is reflected in our customers ability to meet quality deliverables, and is not always immediately evident or recognized\. This mission\-enabling position is best suited for those who see value in helping others to succeed\.


+ Requires Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of experience; or Master's degree in relevant discipline plus two or more years experience; or doctorate in relevant discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience \(a minimum of twelve years of relevant experience required to qualify in lieu of a relevant degree\)\.

- Relevant disciplines may include Business Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Systems, Quality Engineering Management, Production Engineering, any STEM or comparable discipline


+ Experience working in the discipline or career field of assigned customer

+ Ability to understand technical processes and concepts associated with customer work and deliverables

+ Experience with designing and implementing Quality Management Systems \(e\.g\., ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, AS9100, and DOE O 414\.1D\) and Quality Systems audit practices

+ Experience applying quality practices within the context of R&D, production, and service areas across diverse business units

+ Experience in conducting and or designing systems\-level evaluations in order to improve quality\-related processes and systems which offer continuous learning opportunities for assessors and people being assessed\.

+ Proficiency with process improvement using Business Process Management \(BPM\), process mapping, SIPOC, and other quality methodologies and tools

+ Experience translating requirements \(including contractual, regulatory, customer and external industry benchmark/certification\) into quality management system related processes, tools, and practices

+ Experience and application of system analysis and integration methods

+ Solid experience in root cause analysis

+ Experience with risk and opportunity management

+ Experience with issues management, corrective actions, and verification and validation

+ Proficiency in developing and managing performance measures and metrics

+ The desire to inspire and motivate others

+ Long\-term vision; the ability to remain flexible and motivated within a dynamic environment; and the ability to create and implement effective solutions to complex problems

+ Demonstrated ability to develop strategic direction, tactical actions, and follow through on implementation under multiple constraints, including experience in taking a vision from concept to implementation

+ Demonstrated skills in working with leadership, communicating leadership decisions, principles and intent and translating those decisions into change

+ The ability to communicate proactively, clearly, and effectively despite distance and other barriers

+ Proven history of leadership and change management \(such as mentoring, coaching, partnering, and networking\)

+ Strong facilitation and negotiation skills

+ Experience in configuration management

+ Experience and knowledge of work planning and control criteria for safe design and operations at the activity work level\.

+ Experience in project management tools, techniques and execution

+ Experience with development of measures and metrics, defect prevention, causal analysis, and lean six sigma methodologies

+ Experience developing and subsequently executing business improvement solutions\.

+ Proficiency with process improvement using Business Process Management \(BPM\), process mapping, SIPOC, and other quality methodologies and tools

Department Description:

The Quality Partner Program \(QPP\) establishes and oversees key aspects of the institution's quality program improvement efforts, such as developing and administrating elements of the quality, training and coaching employees, and driving change throughout the Labs\. These roles are instrumental in leading quality and continual improvement throughout Sandia Laboratories\. The QPP is a champion and change agent for high quality results institution\-wide and is responsible for establishing and deploying Quality plans, policies, processes, procedures, and tools at the institutional level so quality improvement efforts will meet or exceed internal and external customers' needs and expectations\. The program integrates related efforts across the Laboratories, which requires collaboration, relationship\-building, and teaming across all barriers, organizational and otherwise\.

Within the QPP, Organization 9113, Quality Management System Partners, is home to a team of Embedded Quality Partners \(EQPs\) who are aligned with Divisions, Programs, or business areas\. EQPs work directly with customers to align processes with a centralized corporate Quality Management System, and provide guidance, assistance, and leadership to help customers develop long\-range objectives, tactical goals, and strategic plans to implement corporate requirements and execute on mission objectives\.

The QA Partnerships & Monitoring department \(9111\) is an element within the QPP and is home to a team of Corporate Quality Partners \(CQPs\) who partner with the divisions to steward a labs\-wide quality management system and provide leadership confidence by ensuring compliance with established quality assurance policies, processes, standards, regulatory guidelines and/or customer contractual obligations\.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy \(DOE\) granted Q\-level security clearance\.
