Responsibilities:
Performant has a great opportunity for a multi-faceted and highly analytical Compensation and Rewards professional that is looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a diverse, fast-paced business environment. This is a hands-on program management position with an opportunity to bring your ideas and knowledge of progressive approaches to strategy, design and infrastructure of base, variable, equity, and other components of total rewards. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager, Compensation & Rewards Programs will:

•Plan, design, develop, implement, and establish infrastructure, policies and administration of Compensation and Rewards programs. Rewards infrastructure may also include health and wellness plans and programs. 
•Collaborate with the HRIS Manager to map and develop infrastructure in our Workday platform to maximize efficiencies leveraging technology and approach to the management and administration of programs.
•Conduct research and analysis in areas of compensation and benefits. 
• Job evaluations, FLSA review, write job descriptions/job profiles and compensation studies
•Identify and manage appropriate market data resources, participation and utilization
•Conduct studies and lead the design and development of infrastructure for base structures, recognition programs, benefits and wellness programs.
•Support analysis, design, development and management of variable incentive and equity compensation programs
•Develop policies & guidelines for compensation programs and serve as subject matter expert for development and delivery of training for compensation and rewards programs. Partner with learning & development team members as applicable 
•Conduct analysis to support various initiatives, investigations, and other business needs related to Compensation and Rewards  
•Collaborate effectively within the HR team as well as with management and key stakeholders across the company -Align with and demonstrate company core values (People, Innovation and Excellence) -Effectively deliver results aligned with HR and business objectives
•Contribute to knowledge transfer and skill development in Compensation and Rewards to HR team members
•Ensures program policy and procedures are adhered to and that programs are on par with industry standards, while aligned with business needs and facilitating desired program outcomes
•Contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives and continuous improvements
•Responsible for enhancing and maintaining tools and delivery methods for program design, tools, communication, administration, and education.
•Responsible for maintaining the calendar of applicable Compensation & Rewards programs, initiatives compliance and reporting requirements, etc. and ensure that activities are scheduled and delivered based upon internally developed timelines, legal and contractual requirements, as applicable.  
•Maintain current subject matter knowledge, legal requirements, best practices, theories, and practical applications. 
•Develop tools and processes to measure effectiveness of programs and infrastructure
•Demonstrate the ability to work in team environment where collaboration and the knowledge transfer process are critical for success.
•Effectively lead and manage resources either directly or indirectly as may be applicable 
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.
 
Required Skills and Knowledge:

Knowledge you have:
•Proven depth of knowledge in Compensation, Rewards Benefits principles, best practices, legal and regulatory requirements to successfully drive changes and management of programs. 
•Understanding of Service Contract Act highly desired
•Demonstrated ability to successfully drive initiatives from research and analysis, planning, costing, designing/developing, gaining buy-in, implementation, system and program set-up and administration. 
•Strong analytic and process mind-set with insatiable curiosity, and ability to resolve complex issues
•Demonstrated critical and creative thinking
•Technical skills and competency working with various HRIS platforms (Workday experience highly desired)
 •Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong competency in other MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) 
•Quick to learn and use new applications and tools 
•Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and passion to make a difference
•Adapts quickly and effectively to changing business needs
•Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills  
•Project/program management, time management and superior organizational skills and attention to detail 
•Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams, with customers and key stakeholders through collaboration, adapting and consulting. 
•Ability to work with all levels of management

Physical Requirements: 
Job is in a busy standard office environment, sits at a desk and participates in meetings, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed). 
- Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; reach as needed to use office equipment. 
- Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse. 
- Uses phone; head-set can be provided. 
- Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs. 
- Able to sit at desk, working on computer and phones for a full work day.
- Able to work full time in assigned office, including extended hours during critical project phases.

Education and Experience:
•BA/BS in Business, Management, Finance, Human Resources (or related field) or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Minimum of 7 years of progressive professional experience in Compensation and Benefits, which includes leadership responsibility and demonstrated hands-on ability and ownership of program design, implementation and administration 
•Experience in Government contracting environment and experience with Service Contract Act highly desired. 
•CCP preferred (but not required if demonstrated competencies and experience)
•Experience leading and driving relevant projects and programs
•Experience directly or indirectly leading and developing HR support or analyst team members
 

Other Requirements:
- Must submit to and pass background check.
- Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
- Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
- Must submit to and pass drug screen.

Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company.
