UTC Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst with experience in operational GEOINT exploitation. The candidate is expected to understand current exploitation tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and how these TTPs translate into effective operational utility of EO/IR/MSI, SAR and FMV sensors. The candidate should also demonstrate a strong understanding of remote sensing principles, image formation and the overall processing, exploitation and dissemination chain and how these principles to developing, testing and validating advanced geospatial products.

This position will report to the Manager of Information and Intelligence (I&I), as a member of the Intel and Analysis group. Successful candidates will be a key contributor to this team, developing specialized training materials, operational Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), capability briefs and other geospatial related products in support of the overall Intel and Analysis mission. The position will involve direct interaction with US and International Military, Intelligence Analysts, the Science and Technology (S&T) community and other DOD customers. The types of sensor modalities will include Electro-optical (EO), Infrared (IR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) and Full Motion Video (FMV) as well as others. In this position, you would work with both Engineering and Business Development. Engineering support would include flight test support, evaluation of new capabilities, advanced processing algorithms or modifications, test and validation of sensor processing architectures, deployed sensor analysis and image quality assessments. Business Development support would include creating and presenting briefings that detail our current and potential future remote sensing capabilities. You will also be involved in providing advanced remote sensing capabilities technical support to Business Development personnel. Overall, this is an excellent position for someone with a military or government intelligence background, who is out going and technically astute.

  • Provide training and operation support for fielded sensors
  • Analyze and provide written reports of sensors performance parameters such as image quality and geo-accuracy
  • Develop test procedures, ConOps and training material for sensors
  • Support business development efforts by generating briefing material and provide subject matter expertise at customer meetings
  • Work with field personnel and engineering to resolve field problems
  • Support programs and projects to ensure effective use and employment of our sensors and the processing algorithms.

Qualification:

Required Skills:

  • Experience with intel at operational bases
  • Experience with GEOINT operations, sensors, analysis

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Intelink, ArcMap/ArcGIS, SOCET GXP, Image Product Library (IPL), Unix/Linux, MS Office

Competencies:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written skills
  • Positive team player

Due to programs/projects of this position, candidate must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD TS SCI.


Mostly domestic travel with the possibility of some international travel required. Estimated travel is 25 - 50%.


Education:

Education:

  • In lieu of BS/BA - candidate must have 6+ years of Government or Military Intelligence experience
  • With BA/BS - candidate must have 6+ years of related industry experience
