Advanced Design Front-end Logic Design and Verification Engineer

About the job:
In your role as a Logic Design
Engineer, you will be responsible for designing logic test-chips
for the next generation of silicon technology as well as supporting
studies related to performance, gate count and power (PPA) for
various SoC designs. You will be required to use your logic design
expertise to create new designs, write detailed design
specifications and create test plans in close collaboration with
architects, your fellow circuit designers and verification
engineers.
You'll be responsible for overseeing
the definition, design, verification, and documentation for a
variety of SoCs currently in development. In addition to performing
logic design and oversight, you will be expected to assume one or
more of the following
responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality descriptions of RTL, including SVAs for the design.
- Use formal verification tools and static checkers to guarantee the necessary quality of the RTL.
- Support the functional design verification team to ensure successful tapein and success in first-pass silicon.
- Drive functional and code coverage, timing closure, bring-up and performance and power characterization.
- Define module interfaces, formats or specifications for simulation.
- Integrate cell libraries, functional units or subsystems into complete SoC designs.
- Participate in all aspects of the SoC design flow and the way from high-level architectural definition design to implementation.
About
the team
Intel's Advanced Design (AD) team is
within the larger Design Enablement (DE) organization and is
focused on pathfinding and development of advanced memory and
circuit technology to enable best-in-class memory collateral and
product design across all generations of Intel process technology.
AD develops the 1st chips for all new Intel process nodes and
ensures Design Enablement's technology is robust enough for
high-volume product manufacturing.
And as part of the SoC
Design and Methodology team within AD, you will work on defining
and implementing designs for the latest silicon technology using
industry standard and custom
tools.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering with 4+
years of professional experience in the following
areas:
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: Verilog, VHDL or System Verilog
- Functional Verification in a UVM environment, or Front-end RTL design experience
- Scripting skills in one of the following languages: Python, Perl, TCL, etc.
OR
Master's
degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or
Electrical andComputer Engineering with 3+ years of
professional experience in the areas listed
below:
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: Verilog, VHDL or System Verilog
- Functional Verification in a UVM environment, or Front-end RTL design experience
- Scripting skills with one of the following languages: Python, Perl, TCL, etc.
Preferred
Qualifications (Desired, but not
required):
- Developing timing constraints or writing assertions
- Experience in scan, MBIST, DFX, DFT or other relevant areas
- Experience in industry standard protocols such as AXI/ACE, JTAG, etc.
