Job Description

The ideal candidate will have interest and background in semiconductor metrology and inspection technologies, be capable of independently assessing the merits and demerits of those solutions and recommend the ideal supplier development partner, while we strive to maintain good work/life balance.

As the Advanced Packaging Supply Chain Research and Development Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Technical program management of Intel's equipment suppliers, delivering new capabilities in partnership with the supplier ecosystem.

  • Collaborate with Technology Development (TD) engineers to define requirements, determine best in class supplier solutions, and work with these suppliers to drive the realization of new capabilities from pathfinding through the technology development life cycle.

  • Work with suppliers to define requirements and hold suppliers accountable for delivering to those requirements, driving continuous process and quality improvements, and supporting commercial commodity managers with should cost and ROI (Return on Investment) development.

  • Manage suppliers in different geographies and early morning or late night meetings are often required.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. *This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelor's degree in any STEM major with 6+ years of experience in engineering.

  • Master's degree in any STEM major with 4+ years of experience in engineering.

  • Ph.D. degree in any STEM major with 2+ years of experience in engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in problem-solving within a difficult environment.

  • Cleanroom experience.

  • Program management experience.

  • Supply Chain experience.

  • Model-based problem-solving.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
