Job Description

The mission of Intel Labs is to drive technology leadership for Intel. This includes conducting research and development, working with several business groups, and aligning Intel's strategies and technologies with future industry needs. The Emerging Visual/AI Systems Research in Intel Labs driving exciting research to identify innovative technologies and capabilities for future of Graphics, conduct breakthrough research in visual computing systems, and enable innovative applications of AI/DL for graphics processing. This researcher will develop new algorithms and approaches to advance graphics processing towards real-time efficient performance, scalability, and high quality. This will not only require new algorithms but also integration with graphics pipeline, co-design, and hardware/software innovation.

 

The researcher will work collaboratively with researchers in Intel Labs and Intel's graphics business unit. The successful candidate will bring a passion for both innovative research and impacting the direction of future graphics products. The candidate must have strong research discipline, hands on prototyping skills, closely work with partners to drive research agenda. Candidate may participate in the development of Intellectual Property and submitting papers to top-tier peer-reviewed conferences.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences

Minimum Qualifications

  • The candidate must possess a Masters degree ( with 5+ years industry experience ) or PhD degree ( with 2+ years industry experience) in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience with Computer Graphics and AI / Deep Learning techniques
  • 2+ years of experience with Modern Gaming Engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and/or graphics applications/pipelines
  • 3+- years of experience in AI/DL algorithm development for graphics pipeline (e.g., rendering, photorealism, etc.)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with research in graphics, computer vision and media processing
  • Willing to work from research to impact including innovating new techniques, building proof of concepts, transferring technology to business units and working with partners and customers
  • Familiarity with analysis and optimization of AI/DL algorithms for graphics systems and hardware.
  • Publish in top-tier conferences

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$171,440.00-$257,260.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
