The Wireless Systems Research/Wireless Multicomm Systems research (WSR/WMS) group in Intel Labs is an innovative research group that works closely with Intel product groups, industry partners, and industry consortiums as well as with the academic community to drive technology advancements and business impacts. We are currently researching and prototyping advanced network algorithms to deliver service quality assurance in 5G radio access network (RAN) functions, and to transition today's networking infrastructure onto high volume Intel Architecture (IA) based platforms.

In this position we are looking for a highly motivated communication systems algorithms engineer with strong AI knowledge who will be contributing to developing Radio Access Network (RAN) services following the Open RAN (O-RAN) architecture and disaggregation. In this role, you will be working with architects in developing advanced models and AI-based algorithms using simulation tools, and then implementing these algorithms in software-based proof-of-concept.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

Possess Masters or Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

1+ years of experience in below area:

• Cellular RAN network architecture and System level simulations

• AI tools and algorithms, including deep learning and reinforcement learning

Preferred Qualifications:      
Knowledge of C++, Matlab, Python

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$132,940.00-$199,800.00
