Job Description

In the Advanced Design team within our Technology Development organization, you will shape the definition of the industry's most advanced silicon technologies and be the first to design technology-sensitive circuits on Intel's upcoming nodes. Our mission is to enable our design partners both internal to Intel and external through Intel Foundry Services to design the world's best products on Intel silicon.

The Advanced Design team develops and optimizes the most critical circuit technologies on Intel's advanced technology nodes. The broader team is responsible for library architecture and library development, logic power, performance, area, cost and yield optimization, SRAM memory and fuse bitcell design and array development, novel embedded memory development, analog and mixed-signal foundational IP and PDK components and RF/mmWave circuit technology development and reference designs.

About the Role

As the group leader of the Analog Circuit Technology (ACT) team, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for:

 -Direct and execute Design Technology Co-optimization enabling world-class Analog Circuit performance, power, area, cost and ease of design with internal and external partners

-Conduct testing and debug of Analog circuits in the Advanced Design team labs

-Direct technical engagement and design support of partner teams engaged in early design on Intel's advanced technology nodes including Intel Foundry Services (IFS) lead customers

-Develop analog design automation flows to improve design quality and increase team productivity

-Develop analog and mixed signal circuit reference designs on a wide array of circuits in each advanced technology node at Intel including, but not limited to: 

  • Ring-based PLL and Analog LC PLL
  • DLL/FLL and Clock Distribution Circuits
  • Analog to Digital Converters (ADC)
  • Digital to Analog Converters (DAC)
  • Bandgap Reference
  • Digital Thermal Sensors
  • Power Delivery Circuits, including Voltage Regulators
  • Random Number Generators and Security Circuits

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in analog design and PLLs and clocking circuits
  • Experience completing IP designs for manufacturing on advanced silicon technologies (at or beyond 16nm)
  • Experience in post-silicon debug and measurement of analog circuits

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in ADC/DAC design, thermal sensing, bandgap reference design, power delivery circuits, random number generators and physically unclonable functions
  • Experience and familiarity with Digital SOC design methodology (RTL, Synthesis, APR, Validation)
  • Foundry engagement and enablement experience
  • Publication track record in peer-reviewed conferences and journals
  • Analog design automation experience


Qualifications

Master's in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of professional/industry experience OR
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of professional/industry experience

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
