Job Description

Client Computing Group (CCG) designs and develops Intel's next generation platforms catering to all segments in Mobile Computing. Client Memory Signal Integrity (CMS) team within CCG focuses on developing electrical specifications working with the industry and conducts electrical analyses on various memory technologies like DDR4/5, LP4x/5/5x, and releases platform design guidelines for Intel's mobile platforms.

In this position, candidate will be responsible for electrical analysis focusing primarily on Signal Integrity on memory for Intel mobile platforms and systems.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Performs electrical analysis and validation to generate Intel design guidelines to guide system level signal integrity memory solution including silicon, package, socket, and boards.
- Performs signal integrity analysis for package and silicon/die levels and gives out recommendations which help to meet the required specifications.
- Performs signal integrity simulations and timing analysis and correlating simulations with system measurements
- Provides signal integrity simulation models and collaterals for Intel customers.
- Interacts with cross function teams like silicon circuit design, package design, board design, board fabricators etc., for ensuring proper implementation of high speed interfaces.
- Defines system/board architectures, review the PCB layout, and sign off on the designs

A successful candidate must demonstrate:

- Strong electrical/electromagnetic transmission line theory fundamentals
- Strong signal integrity fundamentals
- Good knowledge of computer architecture
- Familiarity with memory interfaces and fundamentals of memory technologies, a plus
- Knowledge in 2D/3D EM simulation tools like HFSS/Q3D/ADS/HSpice/PowerDC
- Knowledge of basic electronic equipment including digital oscilloscope, DMM, network analyzer etc., a plus
- Good communication skills and an excellent team player


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
Some knowledge of memory technologies and signal integrity fundamentals

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
