Job Description

The Analyst, Audience Data Operations will support the Audience Monetization team by researching, setting up, managing, and maintaining audience segments in our internal DMP. This individual will also help maintain our reporting infrastructure and creation of new reporting capabilities through tools and skillsets including Hive, SQL, Tableau, Excel and GoogleSheets. The right individual will demonstrate a strong analytical mindset and understanding of SQL, audience targeting technologies, and the business value to Pandora and our advertisers from enhanced targeting.


  • Work as a team to maintain the new segment creation process from tool bug/feature requests to segment creation and data pipeline
  • Lead custom segment query development and ongoing maintenance of segment for campaign targeting
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams including Product, Engineering, Data Science, Ad Strategy, and Pricing & Yield to navigate the go to market workflow for new segment creation
  • Maintain and grow the DMP systems by managing bug/task requests with Product and Engineering groups
  • Support tableau dashboard development processes in order to accurately track revenue from segmentation across multiple advertising landscapes
  • Conduct adhoc and recurring business analyses centered on segment quality, cost reporting and vertical trends


Preferred Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 2+ years working with relational databases and SQL query languages
  • Familiarity with Tableau
  • Familiarity with Python a plus
  • Experience with online advertising platforms (Doubleclick (DFP), Atlas, etc) preferred
  • Experience with mobile media sales and delivery, particularly focused on audience targeting
  • Experience with programmatic buying and selling systems
  • Ideal candidate is proactive and willing to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail a must
  • Comfortable in fast-paced and changing environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
