This is a key role in
architecting and implementing complex software tools and frameworks
to enable analysis of workload performance on Intel platforms,
analyze / identify / debug performance bottlenecks or generate the
best configuration through AI-enabled solutions to achieve the
highest performance / SLA / efficiency on Intel-based
servers/instances.
You will work across the
organization and interface with many different teams ranging from
performance, architecture, system software, developer tools and
customer facing. You will be involved in the full cycle of the
software product development within an Agile cross-geo team,
including but not limited to:
- design, develop, validate,
and debug software to enable Intel hardware features and to
optimize for public cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or onprem deployment
models.
- guide software engineers on implementation of
tools and automation frameworks and back-end storage systems. May
specialize in specific technology domains including data services
(ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development
projects.
- development of reference cloud platform
software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the
greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.

Evangelizes tools adoption through technical presentations and deep
dives.
- Drives path-finding activities and product
architecture reviews per customer requests and market
trends.
- Plans, designs, develops, tests, and modifies
the software infrastructure with focus on cloud service
development.
- Uses modern programming languages and
technologies, writes code, and performs testing and debugging of
applications.
- Collaborates with other Intel teams on
using the tools infrastructure
internally.
Qualifications
You
must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially
considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in
addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus
factor in identifying top candidates.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field plus 7 years of industry work
experience.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on
experience with Intel analyzers (VTune, Advisor, Inspector) at the
architecture and data collectors implementation level.
-
5 years of experience of software development for Linux-based
operating systems. Demonstrated C/C++ development
experience on products released externally
- 7 years of
experience system engineering foundation and performance analysis
concepts.
- 5 years of experience development experience
with new programming languages (Python, Java), REST APIs, design
patterns, or tool sets.
- 3 years of experience with
popular cloud workloads such as machine learning, media processing,
web tier, networking, I/O, and high-performance computing.
- experience with cloud services, virtualized and
containerized environments in a large-scale environment. Experience
with the design and deployment of automated large-scale computing
environments / cloud services, from compute instances to data
storage, from container orchestration to database and data query,
using both open-source, commercial and home-grown/custom
software.
- 5 years of experience contributing to the
technology industry for data center infrastructure solutions e.g.
whitepapers, patents, code contributions.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field plus 4 years of industry work
experience.
- PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering,
Computer Science, or related field plus 2 years of industry work
experience.

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$187,370.00-$299,710.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
