The Applications Engineer contributes to the success of the company by driving the growth and profitability of the company’s product lines, working closely with our customers and vendors to ensure that the products being developed, launched and quoted allow ProMach Performance Services to compete successfully and effectively in the marketplace. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is located in our Oakville, Ontario office. 

    • Assist with the preparation of written specifications for quotations
    • Liaise with management, sales and engineering during concept development
    • Assist with the preliminary design proposal(s) including concept layout drawings using AutoCAD and assist with the preparation of proposal documentation in conjunction with the applications team
    • Interact with vendors concerning part and/or assembly quotations required for the estimate
    • Interact with engineering and production to ensure the intended scope is followed
    • Identify and understand competitive equipment
    • Maintain up-to-date sales and technical resources


  • BS in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 1-2 years of engineering experience preferably in manufacturing or packaging
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Excel, proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex technical documents
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong email etiquette
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to understand the technical drawing in AutoCAD 2D required
  • Experience with line layouts is considered an asset
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Self-motivated, hands-on approach
  • Excellent customer relations skills
