Apple's Services, Analytics, Forecast, Efficiency Group is looking for a passionate and highly motivated leader to be a SAFE Architect. You will provide a key function in shaping the success of Apple's current and future products, and help deliver exciting new features whilst maintaining Apple's world class quality.

Key Qualifications

• Experience in leading complex cross team efforts which includes analysis and presenting data to executive leadership with the best path forward.
• Highly experienced with building cloud services and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.) and cloud service orchestration (Pulumi and/or Terraform)
• Experience designing and developing scalable distributed systems with Kubernetes for production use in container-orchestration systems for automating application deployment, scaling, and management
• Mastery of containerization with Docker
• Strong programming skills in Python, Bash
• Good working knowledge of network security and secure coding fundamentals
• Experience with modern software delivery practices, including source control, testing, continuous delivery, continuous integration
• Passionate about delivering great customer experiences
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills on both technical and non-technical topic
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and growth
• Proven ability to learn quickly
• Passionate about engineering for performance and quality.
• Strong teamwork in a diverse team, leadership, and time management skills; passion for leading, mentoring and developing team members
• Ability to manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

The S.A.F.E. Engineering Team is partnering with teams across Apple to understand technological requirements and drive internal and third party cloud features. This position will be required to consult with leadership from two or more organizations and negotiate for top features that will benefit Apple as whole. This will help drive decisions across partner teams in S.A.F.E. to build tools that help the customer such as Infrastructure provisioning, cost analysis and reporting, and a standard monitoring toolchain. This effort will assist developers and management to see their infrastructure through a single glass pane.
