Intel's IP Engineering
Group (IPG) is dedicated to building high quality leadership IP
that power Intel's products (server, client, IOTG and more). We're
looking for a passionate Engineer/Architect to join our
Configurable Fabric IP Architecture and Product Management team
with a focus on both mainband and sideband
fabrics.
This unique role offers the opportunity
to work closely with the wider Configurable-fabric group leadership
and Intel SoC teams in defining the fabric features at the heart of
many Intel SoCs..
Responsibilities may include
but not limited to:
- Spec ownership/authoring for the high-level architecture spec of fabric features
- Negotiation with SoC design teams to align expectations, requirements and commitments
- Prototype construction and checkout, modification and evaluation of semiconductor components
- Performing developmental and/or test work
- Reviewing product requirements and logic diagrams, validation plans, planning and organizing design projects or phases of design projects.
- Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur.
- Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
- Define and maintain the product strategy and roadmap Tradeoff and prioritization of conflicting feature requests while balancing the needs of customers and other stakeholders
- Understanding SoC and wider end-user customer needs and mapping those to IP features and enhancements
- Communicating the vision and requirements to the execution team
In addition to the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following traits:
- Excellent organization skills to prioritize conflicting requirements
- Strong cross-site teamwork skills with the willingness to work independently
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Qualifications
Candidate must have a
Bachelors of Science degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering and
8+ years of relevant experience in: - OR - a Masters of
Science degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering and 6+
years of experience in: - OR - a PhD in Electronic/Computer
Engineering and 4+ years of experience
in:
- Computer/SoC architecture
- On-chip communication fabrics and protocols
- SoC power-management methodology
- Debug methodology
- RAS
- Configurability
- Error-handling and interrupts
- PCIe
Preferred Qualifications
- Product definition
- Working in an IP-team whilst interfacing with an SoC team using the IP
- Customer-facing experience
