The GSCO organization focuses on developing and executing sourcing strategies, which provide Intel with a competitive advantage by maintaining appropriate tension and balance between cost, quality, availability, technology, and sustainability. This is a unique opportunity to be part of Intel's System Supply Chain (SSC) organization, developing and driving the execution of industry-leading supply chain solutions for many of Intel's highest growth market initiatives.

The Application Specific Integrated Circuit ( ASIC) and Power Integrated Circuit (IC) Sourcing team within SSC is responsible for architecting and driving the sourcing strategy for ASIC and Power IC solutions for both direct Intel boards and systems module businesses inclusive of validation modules and enabling platform power designs. The team leverages external contract manufacturers to support all Intel market segments. This team manages a broad supplier ecosystem including all major Tier 1 ASIC and Power IC suppliers.

As the ASIC and Power IC Sourcing Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  • Setting priorities for the team, getting results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, developing employees, and managing performance.
  • Partnering across multiple Business Unit stakeholders to align on deliverables and priorities.
  • Managing supplier relationships from a Commercial and Engineering perspective across the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Planning, providing resources, and directing activities in engineering functions to meet schedules, standards, and costs.
  • Cultivating and reinforcing appropriate group values, norms, and behaviors.
  • Identifying and analyzing problems, plans, tasks, and driving solutions.
  • Providing guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity in order to create career best experiences.


The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:

  • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem solving and systemic thinking to drive and solve high-impact and at scale engineering problems within the supply chain ecosystem.
  • Technical understanding of ASIC and Power IC architecture, design constraints around architecting embedded platforms based on microprocessors, Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), memory and storage products.
  • Command over and familiarity with Intel product roadmaps with the ability to effectively translate roadmaps into ASIC and IC supply chain ecosystem requirements.


You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. * This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field with a focus on microelectronics, electronics packaging, or semiconductors.
  • 10+ years of experience working in Semiconductor Foundry or Packaging, or new product or microprocessor platform development environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in leading and managing global teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in business administration (MBA)
  • Successful experience in driving commercial strategies and translating strategies to action.
  • Experience in negotiating commercial and engineering elements of contracts or statements of work.
  • Experience with managing new product introductions, in assembly, test or validation.
  • Knowledge in:, Budget planning, supply chain business processes, including Quality Operating Systems., NPI development process.
  • Leading multi-cultural globally distributed teams.
  • Supplier relationship management experience.
  • Project management.
  • Assembly, test manufacturing processes, and platform engineering.
  • Reliability failure modes in semiconductors, ASICs, ICs and associated electronic packaging.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
