Job Description

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

This position is for a Technology Development Operations Research Engineers (TD ORE's) in Assembly Test and Technology Development (ATTD) that will be expected to design, develop, validate and deploy simulation and optimization models to drive solutions to complex manufacturing and supply chain problems within the sort, die prep, assembly and test areas.

This includes developing mathematical equipment run rate models, supporting ramp and end-of-life plans, developing and implementing total cost of ownership Continuous Improvement Project's (CIP's). Build, develop, validate and apply mathematically based decision algorithms, heuristics, optimization and simulation models from individual tools to full factory to the virtual factory network.

The engineer will need to keep up-to-date of the latest technology changes and implications to how we manage our manufacturing processes and supply chain.

Additionally, the engineer will be responsible to lead development projects to improve systems and business process used within the technology development and manufacturing organizations.

The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

-Communication and stakeholder management skills with the willingness to present complex data and conclusions in an understandable way.

-Problem-solving, data mining and analytics, statistical analysis and project management skills.

-Organizational, prioritization, planning and time management skills.

-Teamwork skills and willingness to manage priorities in a matrix environment.

-Willingness to develop, validate and maintain parametric models to predict equipment performance, also known as Speed Models, (Example: cycle time, throughput, set-up / conversion / availability).

-The candidate should be willing to spend up to 50 percent of the time on the manufacturing floor for periods of time to development module knowledge and collect data thru observations.

-Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 

Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's Degree with 6+ months of experience in Computer Science or Industrial Engineering or Operations Research or Systems Engineer or Engineering Management or any other related discipline.
  • Experience performing data collection, organization, statistical design, analysis and manipulation.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in the following:

  • Data collection, organization, statistical design, analysis and manipulation skillset.
  • Data mining and analysis using SQL, JMP, PowerBI or Tableau.
  • Supply chain management and/or experience dealing with external suppliers.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing.

Must have the required degree or expect the required degree by January 2023.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
