University College Dublin’s School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering has a long and distinguished record of contribution and achievement in education and research. Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor (Above the Bar) in Electrical Engineering in the area of power systems analysis, operation and dynamic performance. Applications are particularly encouraged from individuals that can integrate with existing research in renewables integration, smart grid applications and control of distributed energy resources.

Candidates should have an outstanding record of research accomplishment in fundamental scientific areas underpinning Electrical Engineering, and experience in the delivery of high quality research-informed teaching to doctoral level.

Appointees will be expected to build and sustain an internationally high-profile research team, contribute to Bachelors and Masters degree programmes in Electrical Engineering, encompassing power system analysis, electrical machines and power electronics, and interact with other disciplinary areas within and outside of the university.
