The Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Systems Engineering invites applications at the Assistant Professor level from outstanding individuals with demonstrated expertise or research potential in the broad area of Fluid Mechanics. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, micro- and nano-fluidics, advanced fluids, computational fluid dynamics, or biological applications.

 

We expect to fill this tenure-track, academic-year, position, in the Fall of 2020. Interested applicants can learn more about the department by visiting its web site (mcise.uri.edu).

 

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a nationally and internationally recognized research program, and become an international leaders in this field. She/He will have earned a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
