The Interactive Media Group (IMG) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple's innovative products, including the AirPods, HomePod, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV.
The IMG Audio team is looking for a motivated and dedicated engineer to lead our multi-functional efforts to improve audio performance on released and unreleased iOS, watchOS and macOS hardware

Key Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience developing firmware or software
• Excellent systems programming in C, C++
• Experience with RTOS embedded development and multithreaded programming
• Experience fixing latency-critical software issues
• Familiarity with real-time audio (sample rates, buffering, I2S, PCM, drivers)
• Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology required
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills

In this role, you will be supporting audio frameworks on Apple's Home products. You will work closely with acoustics engineering groups to develop algorithms and software systems that define user interaction on HomePod and AppleTV. Work will involve developing and improving software frameworks as well as developing audio algorithms from Proof-of-Concept implementations to shipping software solutions.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in CS or or EE

Additional Requirements

• Some assembly programming experience is a plus
• MacOS and/or iOS programming experience is a plus
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python
