IT is a group of specialized professionals providing services to Intel's Engineering Manufacturing and Corporate teams to sustain and maintain their work environments. IT participates in resolving customer issues and identifying and implementing system administration process improvements including automation. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Diagnose and solve a range of issues including but not limited to process software and hardware-related issues in the factories in a professional timely manner
  • Mentor and coach team members in the understanding of the systems and departmental policies and procedures to drive the attainment of departmental standards
  • Develop relationships cross-functionally to drive overall service improvement and Key Performance Index KPI for the department
  • Recognize systemic customer-impacting problems and respond appropriately per departmental procedure by effectively prioritizing and escalating these problems when applicable
  • Thoroughly and accurately document details of all internal and customer interactions
  • First Line Technical support 12-hour day shift

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or any other related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in client-server and application database interaction.
  • Customer service experience
  • Spanish fluency is required for manufacturing language support

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. This includes the LAN, WAN, telephony, data centers, client PCs, backup and restore, and enterprise applications. IT is also responsible for e-Commerce development, data hosting and delivery of Web content and services.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
