The successful candidate will be part of the Manufacturing IT (MIT) organization within the Automated Material Handling Systems group (AMHS). The scope of this role includes creating machine learning and analytic models that other engineering teams will use to drive process and development improvements. Also includes predictive models used to improve sustaining and manufacturing throughput by analyzing historical data from such sources as SAR.Net and interfaces with third-party applications.
The scope of this role will also include building advanced analytic products to solve such problems as improved delivery times, equipment availability, MCBI, and equipment efficiency. The candidate should have experience in applying analytic and software solutions in a fast-paced and complex business environment, and strong communication skills to deliver complex technical analysis to both senior engineers and also the non-technical staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory automation software systems
- Coordinates factory requirements, maps them to automation systems proficiency, and recommends technical solutions
- Applies advanced troubleshooting to automation system problems
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging proficiency needs
- Serves as site expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams
- Position may include some software development of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools
- Support a 24 x 7 high availability automation environment and will be required to be part of an on-call rotation group outside of normal business hours (may need to flex their scheduled hours occasionally to align with new factory project support)
Qualifications
You
must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered
for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the
minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in
identifying top candidates.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or any other related field
- 3+ years of experience
in:
- Relational databases (SQL) and no-SQL databases
- Web development and reporting/visualization
- Data mining and statistics as it relates to data analysis
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in:
- Machine Learning
- Unix and VB scripting, data extraction analysis including SQL query and Log Analyzer
- Troubleshooting and use of Model-Based Problem Solving, Project Management, and Lean Six Sigma methods
- Semiconductor High Volume Manufacturing
- Utilizing data generating complex models and simulations to optimize complex storage and transport systems
- Predictive maintenance
