Key Functions
The successful candidate will be a valuable addition to the Surveillance and Broadcast Applications Development Department, a leader in the global aviation community. In this challenging position, the candidate will perform research on time-based air traffic control applications and perform engineering analyses on aircraft systems requirements that address a variety aviation challenges.
The candidate will apply aeronautical and systems engineering and scientific programming skills to prototype and analyze aviation system performance and capacity-enhancing procedures taking advantage of emerging surveillance technologies and knowledge in the modeling aircraft systems.

 



 

 
A successful candidate will have a working understanding of,

4D trajectory generation,

atmospheric modeling, and application of control theory

Knowledge in software programming for analysis and leading practices for software development are desirable competencies.

Educational background in aeronautical engineering with at least a Master's degree and graduate level or 3-5 years of professional experience.

An interest in aircraft avionics performance, and/or air traffic control systems.



Articulate and able to communicate complex subjects in simplified, consumable terms.



Ability and interest in developing an understanding of ill-defined concepts or problems and create definition and clarity.



Able to effectively manage their time working on multiple tasks simultaneously.



Published multiple technical/analytical papers at aviation conferences or technical journals.
