This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in joining a world class Big Data and Analytics (BDA) team that is fast growing and strategically important to Intel. We are looking for an experienced Big Data and Analytics engineer who can come on board and become the Subject Matter Expert with strong experience using Big Data technologies.
As a member of
the BDA Engineering team, you will be a hands on capability and
platform engineer who will be collaborating with global teams
enabling new capabilities and platforms. A must-have experience in
implementation of solutions using Cloud Data warehouse / ETL /
Azure ADF /Azure Databricks capability
engineering.
Responsibilities of this position
will be, but not limited
to:
Explore and evaluate new capabilities and products related to Big Data Analytics ecosystems.
Participate in the creation of documents, guidance as it relates Big Data technologies.
Guiding development teams on usage of tools, BKMs, best practices, prescriptive guidance and standards.
Development of Bigdata automation capabilities for ecosystem management (DevOps, CI/CD, workload, maintenance, capacity and monitoring/alerting).
Participate in knowledge sharing and representing team in presenting new capability findings, project status and deliverables in various internal forums.
Develop and support standards / frameworks and guidance.
Support cloud DW subscription and capacity management.
Support project integrations of Cloud Data platforms.
Developer support and consulting.
In addition the ideal candidate should also exhibit the following skills:
Leadership, critical thinking, excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience participating within open source communities.
Experience working independently on troubleshooting/resolving issues, capturing/analyzing benchmark performance, and reporting out findings.
Team player is a must in order to work well in a team environment ensuring the success of the team.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or any other related field
4+ years of experience in:
Cloud Data warehouse / ETL / Azure ADF / Azure Databricks capability engineering, recommendation and implementation
Cost and system resource management and optimization (includes Performance Tuning)
Automation using Azure Automation, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Terraform
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the following:
Cloud DW Platform Monitoring
Security (includes network and data security)
Azure Functions, ADLS, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Azure Monitor, DevOps
Infrastructure solutions, specifically in relation to Microsoft Azure, system security and cloud technologies
Automated testing methodologies and frameworks
On-premise Cloudera experience
Kubernetes experience
RedHat/CentOS and troubleshooting experience
Agile, DevOps, CI/CD capabilities
Reporting tools

Annual Salary
Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$113,500.00-$170,120.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
