The Apple Wallet, Payments & Commerce (WPC) Business Development & Partnerships team is seeking a business-oriented leader to drive and support the evolution of Apple Wallet services, working in lock step with internal and external business partners. We are looking for someone to help chart the strategic direction, launch and scale new products and execute against its long-term strategy.

This position will work cross-functionally with a variety internal groups as well as external partners to deliver results. We are looking for significant leadership experience and subject matter expertise in market analysis, partner identification and evaluation, and executing go to market and scaling for digital products.

Specifically, you will lead engagement with external partners for the Apple Wallet services at Apple, supporting services used by hundreds of millions of people globally every month. You will work closely with the Product, Legal, Marketing, PR and Strategy teams to launch new products and services and manage ongoing partner relationships.

Manage a small team of business professionals with a goal to grow the team over time. This team is responsible for identifying key partners to support new product requirements, engaging with partners to gain their support of and dedication to Apple Wallet solutions, and managing partner deliverables to align with Apple's development and launch timelines for new features. You should be passionate about engaging externally to bring the vision of Apple products and services to life for external partners, developing a detailed knowledge of the markets in which Apple Wallet enables digital credentials and providing valuable insights regarding market and partner dynamics to internal teams in connection with new products and ongoing initiatives.

This senior role is full-time and is located in Cupertino, CA.

Key Qualifications

  • 15+ years of professional experience in financial services or tech industry with a proven record of success, including product and personnel leadership, consumer credit, underwriting, risk, and data analysis
  • 7+ years leadership experience developing technology based products, including launching and scaling consumer products
  • Quantifiable success developing business cases around market opportunities and partnerships - including strategy development, market segmentation, partner identification, qualification and contracting and go to market/scaling plans
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams, utilize outstanding influencing skills, and demonstrate strong senior-level/executive communication abilities
  • Ability to synthesize sophisticated topics and distill key business dynamics with senior leaders and partners
  • Direct experience working with business enablers/platform partners to reach entities that ultimately serve our users
  • Analytical and creative problem solver with a can-do attitude and flexibility to accommodate to evolving business needs
  • Proficiency with Apple products and applications is preferred

Some travel required (20%-25%)

Education & Experience

BS/BA Degree Required. MBA or JD a plus.
