Part of the Partner Innovation Lifecycle Services team, the SAP Integration and Certification Center (ICC) works with SAP Partners and Independent Software Vendors to execute SAP’s open integration certification program. We also work with strategic partners to ensure the quality of their solutions in front of our customers.

For our location in Palo Alto, we are looking for a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for driving sign-up and onboarding of ISVs, start-ups and SAP Partners into our program. The ideal candidate enjoys working in an external facing role, engaging with software partners who are seeking guidance, how to integrate with or deploy on SAP solutions. The role includes both 1:1 discussions, as well broader marketing activities, such as organizing email campaigns, webinars or events.

You will be part of a global team, and responsible for driving our services revenue and pipeline in North America.


Manage SAP ICC Pipeline for North America

  • Engage with and convert leads into certification projects from various internal and external sources:
    • Generate new leads proactively through various recruitment activities
    • Handle incoming leads, recommend services and enablement options 
    • Follow up with partners in the pipeline
    • Reporting on leads and revenue forecast
  • Guide and onboard ISVs into the program
  • Design and execute campaigns to promote new ICC services or integration opportunities with the latest SAP technologies
  • Responsible for regional services revenue KPI

Drive awareness for SAP ICC and its services

Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to position benefits of integration certification

Manage relationships with high visibility partners

Contribute to newsletters, blogs and webinars promoting integration topics

Orchestrate event participation in North America

Represent ICC at internal and external events 


BA or MBA in marketing, communications, business or related fields

Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, as you will be interacting with SAP partners as well as multiple internal stakeholders.

Understanding of SAP solutions and integration concepts.

Experience with CRM or lead tracking tools

Familiarity with marketing tools (campaign management) and web design a plus


3 - 5 years of relevant work experience in a marketing or business development role (e.g. campaign management, events, business planning or lead management).

Proven track record creating a positive customer or partner engagement experience.

Experience managing a volume or partner program a plus.
