What Your Job Will Be Like:



The Information Technology Services Business Office is seeking an experienced Business Management Professional to lead the Enterprise Information Systems Business Team (Org 9740) and to support the various business and operational needs of the technical Sr. Manager and Level 1’s. This BMP will team with technical Management, project leads, and other business professionals to complete project budgeting, estimating, reporting, analyzing, and recommendations. This BMP will support indirect funded activities, including indirect investments, and may be called upon to support and lead other initiatives and projects as needs and requirements change.



On any given day, you may be called upon to:





+ Serve as the business lead over $40M budget (baseline and investment).



+ Prepare financial plans, monitor implementation of financial policies, prepare regular and special-purpose reports, maintain historical records, analyze trends, establish cost rates and personnel forecasts, prepare comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds, and determine rationale for variances between costs and budgets.



+ Prepare budgets, project schedules, and statistical reports and recommend measures such as schedule revisions, resource adjustments, and funding allocations.



+ Design, develop, and facilitate strategic planning and process improvements. Use qualitative and quantitative data to develop strategies, goals and objectives, and detailed plans for long-range implementation.



+ Assist with sponsor/customer interactions, facilitating team communications and meetings, tracking project management deliverables and presenting project controls status.



+ Assuming primary responsibility for analysis, development, and reporting throughout all phases of the Project Lifecycle for indirect investments. These duties include partnering with project leads and technical management to develop project proposals, statement of work, work breakdown structure (WBS), cost estimates, the development of a project baseline, and implementation of cost control mechanisms. During project execution these duties include the monitoring of project performance including all necessary variance analysis.



+ Serve as centralized point of contact with external customers in regard to funds management, SNL contract processes, and reporting.



+ Assist with a variety of ad-hoc requests.





This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Also, the selected applicant can be a virtual worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required.



Qualifications We Require:





+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline plus five or more years of directly related experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.



+ Equivalent experience in lieu of degree must be directly related experience that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job.







+ Ability to obtain and maintain DOE L-level security clearance.





Qualifications We Desire:





+ Working knowledge of Sandia’s financial tools and systems (CET, PET, ARC) to perform financial analysis and monitor costs and budgets.



+ Experience providing decision support to leadership on a broad range of business areas including financial planning, resource management, trends and projections, workforce acquisition planning, and business processes.



+ Experience leading cross-functional teams to develop integrated business solutions to complex problems.



+ Experience working with Senior Management.



+ Knowledge and experience in project administration.



+ Experience and/or familiarity with a variety of project management techniques, traditional and agile.



+ Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.



+ Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.



+ Ability to organize and perform under strict deadlines and changing priorities.



+ Willing to take initiative, take ownership of job responsibilities, and make appropriate decisions to complete tasks.



+ Ability to integrate with technical project teams and be a team player.



+ Excellent analytical, facilitation, and decision analysis skills.

Security Clearance:
