Purpose and Objective: Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Manager - Consulting at our Alpharetta. GA office location (and various client sites nationwide) to be responsible for structure, development and effective management of a strong technology consulting team in the Regions and SAP Consulting.


Expectations and Tasks: Manage related budgets and distribution of IO to technology consultants for practice management initiatives. Ensure realization of the sector margin targets (consulting). Financial Management Reporting based on Utilization, Forecast, and Budgeting. Responsible for managing internal technology consulting projects. Provide Consulting Services Definition and Maintenance; Forecast Management; and Partner Management. Serve as the Consulting Liaison for Ramp Up/IBU and ensure consulting related KPIs are met. Responsible for resource allocation management of Field Services assignments. Coordinate project staffing in close contact with Management. Lead knowledge management initiatives regarding the development and use of intellectual property. Support knowledge sharing initiatives (i.e. Focus Groups, FSP Moderators, Mentoring, Education, etc.). Visualize, analyze, prioritize, facilitate, and manage practice activities on a national scale. Develop and manage practice growth and skill sets. Realize Region Deliverables including Customer Satisfaction. Supply, Demand, and Forecast (skill gap planning) Management. Advanced Event Management. Liaise with Field Services Organization. Harmonize decisions across multiple opinions across competing organizations. Support Field Service Related Systems and other Internal systems (i.e. Portal and servers operating). Identify training needs for strategic areas. Active support in entire Delivery Engagement. As a people manager, responsible for supporting the success of direct reports, but the success of all employees within the larger team by helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their goals. Expected to know about the members of the extended team and share insights with peer managers. Look for opportunities to coach and recognize employees directly and provide just-in-time feedback so that employees can reflect on input immediately. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.


Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or a related field and 7 years of experience; or alternatively, a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.


Work Experience: Experience must include 5 years of experience involving the following: SAP Ariba integration; SAP Ariba solution set; managing technology consulting delivery including staffing, resource allocation, and performance management; and managing client engagement. 20% travel required to various client sites nationwide.
