The Apple Wallets, Payments, and Commerce (WPC) team is looking for an Activations Lead to work with channel partners to drive adoption of Apple Pay and other Wallet features by their customers. In many instances these partners will be professional sports teams or other entities in the entertainment vertical, along with their partners who provide the underlying products or services that support Apple Pay and Wallet. You will lead activation programs with these partners, planning and tracking progress from a project management perspective, seeking out and identifying innovative solutions to tricky problems, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will also be responsible for tracking the success of each engagement, presenting your analysis internally as well as to your engagement partners, and making sure marketing campaigns are running smoothly and effectively. As new opportunities arise, you will be asked to spot them, understand how they can benefit your engagements with your partners, and seamlessly integrate them into the activations. Finally, as you grow in this role, so will your responsibilities.

Candidates should have a proven track record of building and sustaining strong, successful relationships across sports and entertainment entities, as well as with internal colleagues and teams. Applicable experience developing, supporting, and scaling new business activation programs is preferred, particularly in the sports and entertainment and/or small/medium sized business (SMB) spaces. Lastly, candidates should have experience in or a strong desire to learn about financial services and Apple technologies.

This will be a full-time position in the Wallets, Payments, and Commerce (WPC) group and is located in our Cupertino, CA headquarters.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside of Apple.
  • Strong ability to influence without authority, sell concepts internally and actively drive streamlined decision making across partners.
  • Keen ability to develop collaborative and impactful relationships with a diverse portfolio of partners and ecosystem providers to drive broad adoption of Apple Pay services and functionality.
  • Experience in handling complex engagements with multiple partners across multiple verticals.
  • Skilled at helping partners identify, navigate, and overcome technical or operational complexities to drive adoption of new technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze opportunities from many angles (both quantitative and qualitative) and drive appropriate performance tracking and analysis.
  • Self-starter who works efficiently in a dynamic environment and is comfortable managing ambiguity.
  • Excellent time and project management skills, plus strong presentation abilities.
  • Upbeat and collaborative teammate who feeds off of goal setting and achievement at the individual and team level.

Description

Lead and partner with cross-functional teams (internal, external, and 3rd party) through all aspects of channel activations and engagements.
Participate internally on cross-functional teams to define partners, set engagement requirements, track progress on deliverables, and develop activation plans.
Continually manage partnerships year over year, delivering new feature enhancements and providing ongoing support to drive customer trial and usage.
Provide regular communications to internal teams regarding partnership strategy and results.
Travel is required.

B.A./B.S. or equivalent required
