Job Description

Intel's leading Client Power and Performance characterization team is looking for individuals who want to be hands-on and be responsible for:


- Developing test plans and expectations with the team
- Setting up and calibrating systems for testing
- Generating performance, power, and battery life data
- Analyzing the results to understand why they are the way they are; debugging and digging deeper as requested
- Concisely summarizing the results
- Making recommendations based on that analysis, to both engineering and marketing (leading to impacts on engineering, sales, and marketing)

-The ability to set up/debug client computer systems running Windows, iOS, Mac OS X operating systems.
-This role will also provide opportunities for owning and improving processes within the team.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 6+ years of industry experience, OR
Master's Degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years of industry experience


Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience setting up/debugging client computer systems
Experience with client computer performance and power benchmarking and data analysis
Experience with Windows and Mac OS operating system installation and maintenance

Experience with designing experiments and effectively communicating results

Experience with writing tools/scripts for running and gathering data (e.g. - Perl, Python, etc.)
