Interested in being on the front lines for measuring and assessing Intel and the competition in the client market segments, particularly regarding Windows and Linux Workstation platforms?
If so, we are looking for individuals who want to be hands-on and be responsible for:
Developing test plans and expectations with the team.
Set up and calibration of systems for testing.
Generating performance, power, and battery life data.
Analyzing the results to understand why they are the way they are; debugging and digging deeper as requested.
Concisely summarizing the results.
Making recommendations based on that analysis, to both engineering and marketing (leading to impacts on engineering, sales and marketing).
This
role will also provide opportunities for owning and improving
processes within the team.
A successful
candidate will
demonstrate:
Being a motivated self-learner/self-starter with an ability to adapt to change
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
The ability to build/install/debug client computer systems (including Intel internal client platforms or from components) on Windows and Linux
Working knowledge of benchmarks/workloads/analysis/power measurement is a plus.
Understanding of client system and CPU architecture and what contributes to client performance and power use is a plus.
Qualifications

Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a
related field with 3+ years of
experience setting up/debugging client computer systems (including
Intel internal client platforms or from components) running Windows
and Linux or;
Master's degree
in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
or a related field with 1+ years of
experience setting up/debugging client computer systems (including
Intel internal client platforms or from components) running Windows
and Linux
The Client Computing Group (CCG) is responsible for driving business strategy and product development for Intel's PC products and platforms, spanning form factors such as notebooks, desktops, 2 in 1s, all in ones. Working with our partners across the industry, we intend to continue to advance PC experiences to deliver the real-world performance people demand. As the largest business unit at Intel, CCG is investing more heavily in the PC, ramping its capabilities even more aggressively, and designing the PC experience even more deliberately, including delivering a predictable cadence of leadership products.
