Apple is looking for a cardiologist. This is a unique opportunity for a clinician to leverage their medical expertise and passion to assist in building health focused technologies. In this role you will work closely with talented cross-disciplinary teams on identifying key areas of focus with consideration for Apple's product and technologies and on defining and developing new product concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to innovate with a proven ability to execute, be capable of working closely with cross-functional teams, engages in open discussion well, is consumer-focused, and is not afraid of a challenge.

Key Qualifications

  • N/AMD with deep expertise in cardiology
  • 1+ years of expertise in clinical practice as an attending
  • Product experience, strategic consulting experience, or experience working in companies with regulated medical products or digital health products.
  • Proven organizational skills, great interpersonal skills, and ability to work with a wide variety of team members
  • Ability to communicate clearly with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies

Description

Conduct needs assessments and work with cross-functional partners to create a 3-5 year roadmap of features
Create detailed feature definitions and set specs for heart-related products
Support algorithm development including review of feasibility assessment studies
Support overall product development in coordination with project owners across the company
Partner with cross-functional teams to design clinical validation studies
Collaborate with regulatory and quality stakeholders on product submissions to domestic and international regulators
Communicate and manage relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
Anticipate, adjust for, and communicate problems, risks, and roadblocks.
Communicate clearly and concisely with peers, business partners, and leadership via appropriate medium: verbal/written/presentation.
Provide regular status updates to project teams, stakeholders, and management, summarizing issues to key points and action required.

Education & Experience

Board Certified in Cardiology with optional continued board certification in Internal Medicine
Active US Medical License
1+ years practicing as an attending
