Enterprise and Cloud Networking Division is a business division under NPG/NEX responsible for Intels business on network/security segment. This team works with the Sales & Marketing and R&D organizations to establish business and technical strategies to fuel customers growth, customers include industry leaders and innovative startups.

Enterprise and Cloud Networking Division is looking to hire a software architect to define and implement technical solutions for Intel network security business strategy. Network security industry is transforming rapidly into cloud-first, edge cloud and multi-cloud-based deployment models, hybrid workplace is the new norm, software centric solutions such as network as a service and security as a service are increasingly popular. The position focuses on working with ISV and CSP partners to develop multi-cloud networking service, application security, zero trust solution on IA based cloud instances, container and serverless environments.

As an Architect, you will design, provide technical oversight and direction of the development of Intel network/security software products including system software, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and applications, as well as software structure and validation direction. Researches and designs optimal end to end cloud computing and cybersecurity software solutions for cloud, cloud native, orchestration, enterprise, edge, telco cloud, service mesh, networking, microservices, and/or distributed computing. You will engage with major customers to understand use cases, participates in open source and standardization industry work to influence architectures, and optimize software, and interacts with technologists and product/product managers across Intel to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Makes high-level design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms.

In this job role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with ISV/CSP to showcase the Intel technology portfolios.
  • Setting the Intel software strategy & architectural proposal in network/security, service mesh and cloud native deployment.
  • Working with software tech leads and product managers to define requirements and execution deliverables.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 8+ years of relevant software development experience or Master of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 6+ years of relevant software development experience.
  • Experience with industry standard cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Experience in software architecture definition (including industry standard design patterns).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree or higher in CE, CS, EE, or similar STEM.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
