Be a part of the Cloud Performance team in Data Center and AI Group (DCAI). The team is responsible for Cloud performance analysis to enable Intel sales and marketing teams, as well as Intel customers - including Cloud Service Providers, enterprises, SMBs and HPC customers. You will play a central role in helping Intel develop exciting new Data Center opportunities by highlighting performance benefits of Xeon technologies to our customers and your output will be used to influence future Intel products targeted toward the Cloud.
As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will work on cutting edge Cloud Computing technologies and workloads. You will participate in the performance analysis of leading Cloud Service Provider IaaS (infrastructure as a service) platforms including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and others. You will have the opportunity to characterize workload performance, investigate performance bottlenecks, identify and implement potential performance improvement techniques, etc. You will interface with sales and marketing teams to understand customer perspective. You will also have mentoring and career coaching from Principal Engineers and architects who are experts in the field.
Qualifications
Education Requirement:
H.S. Diploma plus 5 Years of related field experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 2 years of industry work experience, or
Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 1 years of industry work experience
Minimum Required Qualifications: Quantifiable
1 plus years of experience with Linux OS, at least one programming language (C, C++, Python, etc.)
1 plus years of experience setting up server systems/clusters, compile kernels, load OS's, configure networks and storage.
1 plus years of experience with software development and deployment on one of the following: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
1 plus years of experience with performance benchmarking of server platforms and/or cloud instances.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands on experience with server benchmarks such as SPEC CPU, SPEC JBB, STREAM, Wordpress PHP, Hammer DB, etc.
- Familiarity in performance analysis tools like EMON, VTune, etc.
- Proven experience to overcome technical challenges and resolve issues independently.
