By joining the Microsoft Technology
Center (MTC), you'll be part of the team with the closest
relationship to Microsoft architects and engineers and have the
deepest technical knowledge in Microsoft products and services at
Intel. We are platform innovators, leading industry,
standards-definition to scale-quality OEM designs and are the
bridge that connects every product that Intel builds with Microsoft

Intel's key partners to deliver optimized solutions for client,
enterprise, and cloud customers.
The AI and
Developer Tools and Runtimes team within MTC at Intel has an
opportunity available for a Compiler Engineer to join our team and
make significant impact to developer tools through compilers across
Intel's business - Cloud, AI/ML, Edge, Gaming and Client targeting
latest hybrid CPU, heterogenous computing and XPUs, including
discrete GPU.
You will be working on advanced software optimizations techniques including memory optimization, telemetry-based hardware guided optimization to enable features specific for Intel Architectures.
You will work with diverse team to help achieve best-in-class performance and programmability for Microsoft first party use cases.

As a cloud software development
engineer, you will be working closely with engineering and
architecture leads from the product groups at Intel and Microsoft
to define and enable the next generation technologies to drive
leadership performance. You will have an opportunity to learn and
develop skills in areas such as system and software optimization,
performance analysis, and solve bottlenecks for planet scale cloud
applications on Intel hardware and
software.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline and 3+ years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline and 1+ years of industry experience.
2+ years of software engineering experience, preferably building commercial grade software with much of that experience in large scale, high availability service environments.
Experience developing high quality code in C/C++, Python, C#/Java or similar programming language.
Desired:
Good knowledge of computer architecture and distributed systems.
Experience in performance and profiling tools (e.g. Intel VTune, WPR/WPA) to identify hot spots and bottlenecks across hardware and software boundaries.
Experience driving a complex multi-year infrastructure project would be desirable.
Experience building large scale web services is a plus.
Experience with Kubernetes and Containers is a plus.
Experience using large-scale data to gain insights and optimize systems towards business goals.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
