Join our new SaaS technologies team to develop the next generation software performance analysis tools and frameworks to enable workloads profiling and optimization and to empower software developers to extract maximum value from Intel platforms.

You will interface with many different teams ranging from performance, architecture, system software, developer tools and customer facing. You will be involved in the full cycle of the software product development within an Agile cross-geo team, developing and evangelizing the next generation of tools through technical presentations and deep dives.

An engineer in this role designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or onprem deployment models. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field plus 3 years of industry work experience.
3+ years of hands-on experience developing cloud solutions with a Bachelors degree; or 5+ years with a Masters degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

Minimum qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux-OS Internals and administration.

• Knowledge of Cloud Native stacks. Experience in handling large scale and growing infrastructure across public and hybrid cloud platforms

• Programming experience in Python, Go or Java. Experience with REST APIs.

• Experience in developing microservices-based solutions in containerized environments.

• Hands on git/github source control knowledge and gitOps / CICD pipeline development

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficiency developing and organizing Infra-as-Code with Terraform and Ansible

• Hands-on experience with cloud tooling (e.g. Kubernetes, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Prometheus, Grafana etc.)

• Proficiency in solutioning and architecting with core AWS Stack (EC2, EKS, API Gateway, S3, Lambda, Eventbridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudFront)

• Comfortable working in agile, small team environments
