As a Cloud Software Services Engineer you will be responsible, but not limited to:
- Design, develop, validate, and debug software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybrid cloud, and/or on-prem deployment models.
- Understand partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, Software Developer Kits, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software.
- May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud.
- May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Candidate
must possess a Masters degree or higher in Electrical or Computer
Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related
field.
3+ years of experience
in:
- Distributed systems, Cloud computing, Middleware, Data services, Infrastructure manageability and core infrastructure or Compute storage network power
- Python, Java, or C++
- Deep Linux systems administration and Operating System internals
Preferred
Qualifications:
3+
years of experience in any of the following
areas:
- Designing and operating distributed systems, networking design, and implementation experience
- Building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems, preferably on Linux
- Data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or distributed systems
- Professional software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing)
- Scheduling and orchestration of scale-out microservices in large-scale computing environments
- Key distributed systems concepts such as Design for Failure principles, Eventual Consistency, and geo-distributed software

Range for jobs which could be performed in US,
Colorado:
$149,020.00-$223,560.00

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
