We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team as a Cloud SW Solutions Engineer to join our Hyperscale Cloud Ready Software and Solutions team.

We are seeking an individual with a passion for technology and one who enjoys working on public cloud (artificial intelligence, machine learning, media streaming, analytics, enterprise migration, hybrid, or edge to cloud) and one who can identify customer challenges and quickly turn ideas/insights into customer centric solutions, easing the use/adoption of Intel technologies and driving affinity of them in Hyperscale Cloud and customer environments. We are comprised of Cloud SW Architecture, Cloud Developer Advocacy, Cloud Software  Solutions Engineering and Cloud UX/DX.

The Cloud Solutions Engineer is primarily responsible for deploying, and operating proof-of-concept and development installations that go far beyond traditional or current industry approaches. They specify and refine the requirements of hardware, automation, management, monitoring, protocols, and device operating systems. They create solutions that can be repeatedly deployed and operated at massive scale by applying their unique, multidisciplinary, practice to ensure the stability, scalability, performance, and operational success, often by building software systems that manage these aspects of the company's services. The selected candidate will have software engineering knowledge to manage operational and reliability aspects of the systems they build, as well as operating system knowledge, including resource management, networking protocol stacks, file systems, and monitoring.

- Be the internal voice of the cloud end/user developer to internal product, sales, and marketing teams.

- Speak at conferences, meetups, and Intel customer events to advocate for Intel products powering cloud services.

- Create developer documentation, guides, and training materials for cloud services with Intel affinity.

Additional activities include, but are not limited to, creating/presenting demos for trade shows around the world, acting as a product evangelist, program/project manager and technical marketer, making sure that software products by leading public cloud provider software and 3rd party software vendors run best on Intel's latest instances in the public cloud. Supporting the newest upcoming platforms and technologies, writing code to improve software performance on Intel instances in the public cloud, working directly with high visibility customers to provide training and technical support, giving feedback to engineering on new feature requests, and developing and publishing performance analysis marketing collaterals and cloud software application documentation.

Qualifications

The below minimum qualifications must be met to be considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. 

Education Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management of information systems, Math, Physics, or related field plus 3 years of industry work experience, or

- Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management of information systems, Math, Physics, or related field plus 2 years of industry work experience, or

- PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management of information systems, Math, Physics, or related field

Minimum Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in cloud technology across in Linux, Enterprise/Public Cloud Environments and Software/Script Development

- 3+ years of experience in Debugging, Developer relations, or Enterprise migration

- 3+ years of experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as Python, JavaScript, Golang, and PHP

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with building and deploying cloud services such as IaaS, PaaS, containers, developer tools, and API's that solve developer and end-user problems.

- Comprehensive knowledge of containerization, microservice and related tooling to integrate container applications into CI/CD - docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, Terraform.

- Hands on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Source Code Repos, configuration management tools, tech (Git, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, puppet, etc)

- Foundational Cloud Certification (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Google Cloud Foundational, Azure Fundamentals, etc.)

- Versatility with customer interfacing, public cloud infrastructure set up, caching software, software defined storage, and cloud networking topologies.
